By accessing Open Inference (the “Service”) — whether through our Chat App, OpenRouter, or any other platform — you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

Open Inference is a free, experimental research project providing AI inference. It is not a production service. It offers limited safety filtering and may produce inaccurate, offensive, or inappropriate outputs. You use it entirely at your own risk.

3. Acceptable Use

The Service is for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, abusive, or hateful
  • Submit information you would not want to be public (we cannot guarantee confidentiality of inputs)
  • Integrate the Service into commercial products or applications
  • Send automated traffic that exceeds reasonable individual usage

4. Your Inputs

We may process and retain prompts and outputs to operate and improve the Service, including for model research. Do not submit sensitive personal data, trade secrets, or anything confidential. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

5. No Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Open Inference and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $10.

7. Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access for any violation of these Terms or for any reason at our discretion, without prior notice.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
